Mythology is one of the great inspirations in my work. “Centaur Kidnapping a Nymph” is the my interpretation of the famous dramatic scene. Looking through history, there are many renderings of this subject dating back to the neoclassical and romantic period, usually focusing on the tension between two conflicting bodies. Opposite to the conventional approach, I tried to depict the emotional tension between the two figures, with focus on agony.
