I made this piece a little while ago and have recently fallen in love with it again! It's made from red earthenware clay, fired to 1250 degrees and has a slight brush of both yellow and black slips on the surface. She reminds me of Celtic crosses which I love, hence the name. Even though she doesn't have a head, she has a strong and determined character, and I imagine her standing tall and proud in the Cornish landscape. Or maybe on a wild Scottish island!
