This sketch was drawn from a fabulous life drawing session with Brighton based Cellist Bela Emerson. We invited Bela to come and play for us while we stood around transfixed by our easels. I produced a series of sketches while she played which lead onto a longer study with paint. She alternated between a traditional wooden cello, to an electric version with its unusual shape. I really enjoyed drawing to live music which worked so well with the lively inks and quick pencil marks.
The drawing is board mounted, comes apply wrapped in cellophane, ready for framing.
Ink and graphite stick on paper, mounted.
