This Work celebrates a voyage of discovery and place of our Earth in the heavens.
Laced with symbolism ‘Celestial’ is an extra bit special featuring my favourite migratory bird...the swallow representing the ever changing rhythms of time and space. The earth is shown between the sun and moon and painted as a globe from the 16th century showing our understanding of the earth then. The Golden Hind- Sir Francis Drakes ship sails that globe depicting discovery.
Painted on a specially prepared canvas in artists watercolour and adorned with 23k gold leaf...a tricky thing to get quite right but the effect? Spectacular.

When we stop and look a little closer at details light a whole new world of wonder is there before us.

Offered ready to hang on a 2cm deep canvas, this work will be shipped in a robust cardboard box.
