Ceiba, a very peculiar tree commonly known in Spain as “borracho” - translated to English as - “drunken”. The reason this tree is called that way I couldn’t find but the beauty of it, when it blossoms here in Marbella (South of Spain), from September till November, is absolutely outstanding. The ground under the tree resembles a dense rose carpet that you don't dare to put your foot on… The flowers are quite fragile and by the time it fits the ground many of them get broken. Normally I would find one still in one peace and would try to bring it home…
So, this mandala is the combination of flowers and leaves of Ceiba represented in a circular design in autumnal colors, the season when the tree is in its almost beauty.
