Hi, this is one of my South African landscape series, which I return to regularly. The Cedarburg hills are a unique and beautiful landscape north of Cape Town which we were lucky enough to visit a few years ago.
This is a large work which I painted in situ and completed in my studio in the UK. It is painted on a heavy canvas board where two pieces of canvas have been glued together - the join of the two canvas sheets can be seen towards the bottom of the picture.

It is impossible to completely capture the stunning colours and form of the place, but I enjoyed trying. Enjoy xx
