Painted on-site at Cave Point Park in Sturgeon Bay, Door County, WI. Features a view of the shoreline with a rock cliff hanging over the water. Painted with oil over casein paint. Casein paint creates running and dripping effects in the sky, horizon line, and water, with a matte texture that contrasts with the oil. Oil paint applied with both brush and palette knife, with additional textural carving with pocket knife. Texture of the oil paint enhances the rocks, waves, and evergreen foliage. Beautiful shades of indigo, and aqua in the sky and water, with additional touches of blue-green and lime green in the waves.
