Continuing the African theme, I decided to paint a fragment of the beautiful and mysterious city in Morocco, Chefchaouen, in acrylic.
Cities across the seas have been beckoning me since I was a child. Magicians with miraculous lamps were waiting for me there. I didn't meet any magicians, but the blue city in Morocco made me fall in love with it. I've grown up, but I believe that behind those beautiful turquoise doors lives a fairy tale.
And, of course, in this picture, I couldn't help but paint cats. They are, after all, the full-fledged inhabitants of all southern cities.
I painted it on paper, but it is not usual paper but a special one, which has been created for oil and acrylic work. It has the texture of a canvas. In addition, I additionally primed the surface with a art primer.
I also used a textured paste to enhance the effect of the old walls. It is much lighter and more malleable than similar mortar. You can see in the photos that the walls of the houses are uneven, as if destroyed over time.
This painting can decorate the interior of a living room and an office, such as a tourist office.
