This work celebrates the change of seasons with a cluster of white roses craning upward, towards the beautiful, blue sky. This composition ranges from closed rose buds to open roses, suggesting that new life is imminent. From the viewer's perspective that is placed beneath, the roses appear disproportionately sized, as if they were high-rise structures, producing the surreal experience of our shrunken presence in this painting, like a child. Alternatively, the viewer could be lying down amongst the roses, demonstrating a mutual appreciation for the glorious weather and basking in the sun.
