Original artwork description:

I spent a week on Monhegan, painting every day! It was my birthday gift to myslef - a week apart, just to paint. It was heavenly! One evening, I saw this house at dusk, and the sun was lighting up the side of the house that I could not see and the soffit of the roof was glowing. The sky had this eerie glow to it - magical! I tried to capture the glow the next morning, painting in my house as I waited for the rain to pass.
