Original artwork description:

This mixed media canvas is of a cat called William whom currently resides in a rather nice home in West Yorkshire. I found some lovely worn pieces of blue and white pottery on the riverbank near to where he lives and felt that it fitted in perfectly with the rest of the painting.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, pottery and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
