Original artwork description:

This mixed media canvas was inspired by a warm day out in the garden enjoying the sunshine. I like the mix of woven materials with the paper collage and acrylic painting. It gives this canvas a tactile warm cosy feeling.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
