Original artwork description:

This handsome cat is enjoying the garden. I liked the way he seems to be part of the background as he blends in well. Their are several layers in this mixed media canvas including various bits of patterned, ripped paper, paint and broken pot and buttons.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
