Original artwork description:

This is a studio version of an earlier plain air piece done in 2018 in Cat Cat village near SaPa, Vietnam. It was such a wonderful place to paint! This is a high altitude area near the border with China. At the time I was there the mountain peaks were barely visible. For a while one day when some clouds cleared and I was able to see the grandeur of these fantastic mountains.

In this composition I loved the misty etherial mountains and the diagonals of the scene. While painting there I was constantly being surrounded by the menu of pigs, ducks and chickens roaming around freely.

This one is 16" x 12' Oil on cotton canvas in masonite board.

NOTE: This painting is sold unframed and any images showing a frame has had it added digitally.

I only use the best quality oil paints in my paintings, so the colour will hold for years to come.
