Original artwork description:

Oh to be a cat! Lovely and snuggly in blankets for the evening. I've added patterned paper to this mixed media canvas for part of the blanket effect and blended it with paint.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, bits of pottery and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
