I live in southern Spain and this is where I find much of my inspiration.

Spain has more than 2500 castles, with each castle primarily designed to strengthen the city and to withstand potential sieges. Although many were built with the military in mind, Spain’s castles are architectural marvels and monuments of beauty. It is these aspects that form the basis for my Castle series of paintings. These small paintings all play with slightly surreal architectural structures that are offered up by these medieval buildings.

The painting is acrylic on linen and is 8” x 10” (20 x 26 cm). It is mounted in a simple wooden frame.
