Original artwork description:

The painting is inspired by scenes I see in tropical rain forests. In this case myself and 3 other artists went on an excursion to one of the National parks here in Malaysia. I equipped myself with pencils and paper. The rest was done later in studio... There are 2 different versions of Cascade. This is the second one.
The paper I use is a traditional mulberry paper handmade in Thailand. It’s a thick parchment paper, strong yet pliable. The paper is made to this size to get the unique, uneven deckled edges which adds to the overall textural effect
The close up picture helps to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
Interested to have your idea painted in this style? Maybe a garden or nature scene, a storyboard collage from a recent travel? Contact me.
Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and in an envelope. Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of this same size or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
About framing.
When considering framing bear in mind to not cover up the deckled edges. This is one of the specialties of the painting, one of its charms. It is best displayed framed with a cut mat board around the painting so as not to cover the edges, thereby putting some space between the art and the glass and bringing depth to the framed art. It can also be framed simply with backing board and pressed with glass over the front without causing damage.

Materials used:

acrylic colour on handmade Thai mulberry paper (kada sa), deckled edge
