The painting is inspired by scenes I see in tropical rain forests. In this case myself and 3 other artists went on an excursion to one of the National parks here in Malaysia. I equipped myself with pencils and paper. The rest was done later in studio... There are 2 different versions of Cascade. This is the first one.
The paper is made to this size to get the unique, uneven deckled edges which adds to the overall textural effect. The close up picture is to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting.
Packaging for my small paintings like this one is sealed in plastic sleeve, sealed in a padded hard plastic file case, and in an envelope. Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of this same size or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
About framing.
When considering framing bear in mind to not cover up the deckled edges. This is one of the specialties of the painting, one of its charms. It is best displayed framed with a cut mat board around the painting so as not to cover the edges, thereby putting some space between the art and the glass and bringing depth to the framed art. It can also be framed simply with backing board and pressed with glass over the front without causing damage.
