This was painted en plein air in Cartagena, Colombia in 2010 during a day's stop from a cruise ship. I had to make quick work of it because of the blazing hot sun which almost became unbearable. It was worth it since it portrays a typical inside the old walled in portion of Cartagena. Can you feel the heat?
