A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and textured large landscape painting.
This painting was inspired by my favorite vista in Big Sur, California. As you drive South on the Pacific Coast Highway, you happen across the famous and historic Bixby Bridge.
Built in 1932, It's a beautiful location, with the bridge soaring majestically above the cliffs, and the wildflowers dancing in the foreground. In this instance, Pacific Coast Irises weave up toward the sky. I had been dreaming of this painting, and planning it for many months prior to embarking upon it. This is the largest piece I have painted to date, and I am in love!

My Artist's Statement:
Lisa is an award winning, modern palette knife artist with an unmistakable style, and colorful liveliness in her distinctive paintings. Given the name “The Knife Queen” by one of her many facebook fans, Lisa maneuvers her artistic knife with an uncanny fluidity. She creates vibrant landscapes, cityscapes, and portraits, hanging internationally in collectors’ homes across the USA, England, Ireland, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. It takes a very talented and accomplished artist to use a painting or palette knife. This technique is unique, as the paint is applied very thickly, adding subtle highlights with a beautiful sense of light and movement. Combined with this, is Lisa’s outstanding ability to capture with her knife the incredible detail and personal elements that will resonate with your subconscious, and transport you into her colorful world of visual transcendence.
