After hours of exhausting walking in the sun, I finally enter a zone of shade.
This shadow is like the caress of the beloved I have waited for so long.
This caress regenerates me, gives me relief. And it gives me the strength to face a new, tiring path.

Created in the studio in September 2023, this painting is the reworking of several studies executed en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on Masonite, a panel made of pressed wood fibres. Masonite is a material widely used by artists in the first half of the 20th century as a support for their paintings because it is extremely resistant and crushproof. I love painting on this material because its very smooth surface allows me to achieve effects that cannot be achieved on other materials. I also have the guarantee of high durability.
The signature is in the lower left corner
The painting is protected by a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work comes with a thin wooden frame in natural colour to protect the edges. It is ready to hang.
The work is accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist.
"Caressed by the shadow" is a faithful translation of the original Italian title "Accarezzato dall'ombra".
