The inspiration for starting this work was the shadows. This is my fulcrum from which my creativity always begins. Today it was the Monster leaves, which I turned into flowers. Of course these are fictional flowers, which you will not find in nature, but they live in me. Each painting in this series is exclusive and cannot be repeated.

My watercolors are the world I live in before I paint it.
I paint sunny shadows, real shadows that plants cast. With a brush and watercolor, I turn them into images, into plants that may not exist in nature.

The process of creating each work is a source of inspiration for me.
