Artwork description:

I love cardinals, but I never see them. Maybe I've seen one or two in the south, but I don't recall seeing any here in Idaho. We do have fabulous blue jays. I think they'll be my next bird.

I wanted to print a bird in two colors, so first I started with the black outlines of the cardinals and then put in a background of green spirals. Then, I went back and colored the cardinal red and put blue in the spiral background. It's a different kind of print then I'm used to. I'm rather particular to white backgrounds, but one of my sisters hates the white backgrounds, so I'm branching out a bit. For her!:)
