Original artwork description:

Having always been drawn to all kinds of graphics and images with a graphic quality, I love to capture and celebrate these observations through my work - especially the unnoticed or hidden beauty in the world around us.

With this piece, I loved the visual relationship between the form of the filling station canopy and the floor graphics - almost echoing one another. The sweeping tyre tracks evoke to me a sense of energy and movement, but also act as a kind of imprint or memory of the journeys this place has fuelled.

Materials used:

Mount board, card, paper, pastel.
