Original artwork description:
This is an oil painting on canvas inspired by the leaves and undergrowth of the woodland in Exmoor, Somerset. An abstract expressionist landscape, this piece was painted in my studio in Brighton surrounded by sketches and imagery of the Exmoor landscape. I often paint plein air in the English countryside before returning to my studio to paint. I wanted to capture the sense of light and dark of the foliage and wildlife of this part of Somerset. Since childhood I have walked through the forests here and I love the changing colours that falls through the canopy of the leaves.
This painting has been framed with a bespoke minimal white tray frame and is ready to hang on your wall.
