Original artwork description:

That feeling when you buy some candy floss, but it's bigger than your head.

This painting is an update of a recent much smaller painting of mine. The original was done on A5 paper, this one is on a much larger, ready-to-hang canvas.

My love of sweet, unnaturally coloured food and striped t-shirts both come together here in a simple pop art style image. It wasn't until I showed the painting to my partner that she also made the comparison with the surrealist Magritte painting, the Son of Man, which features an apple obscuring a person's face - here instead, it's a bright prink mass of candy floss.

The end result is a bold, colourful piece that would look good in any room of the house, or be the ideal gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.

It is painted in acrylics on a cardboard backed triple-primed canvas, medium grain.

Size -
12 inches x 16 inches
30.4 cm x 40.6 cm
Roughly 1.8 cm thick

The painting will be packaged in a cardboard box, with full tracked postage.

My work, as ever, has been inspired by the classic pop artists like And Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, as well as modern day graphic artists, and food packaging.

Materials used:

Posca Paint Pen, Acrylic Paint, Canvas
