Original artwork description:

That feeling when you buy some candy floss, but it's bigger than your head.

This new miniature painting is inspired by both my love of sweet, unnaturally coloured food, and striped t-shirts, with the two coming together in a simple pop art style image. It wasn't until I showed the painting to my partner that she also made the comparison with the surrealist Magritte painting, the Son of Man, which features an apple obscuring a person's face instead of candy floss.

The end result is a bold, colourful piece that would look good in any room of the house, or be the ideal gift for anyone with a sweet tooth.

I've included images showing the sketches that inspired this work, and the final photo shows my other recent A5 paintings that feature a similar human subject matter.

It is painted in acrylics on thick high quality standard-sized A5 paper.
PLEASE NOTE: the painting doesn't come framed, but I've taken photos of it in a white A5 frame for display purposes.

Size -
5.7 inches x 8.2 inches
15 cm x 21 cm
Roughly 1mm thick

The painting will be packaged in a thick envelope with full tracked postage.

My work, as ever, has been inspired by the classic pop artists like And Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, as well as modern day graphic artists, and food packaging.

Materials used:

Posca Paint Pen, Acrylic Paper (Acid Free)
