I enjoy returning to this raw paper. It’s a convenient size, just the right absorbency, and a thick paper, and the colours stand out brilliantly.
The idea has been in my head for as long as I can remember, finally I get to play it out. The candle theme is the excuse, the rest is an abstract interpretation of night. What do you see in all this moving night shadows….
The close up picture allows you a better feel for the texture and brush stroke of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress.
