This painting is based on one of my favourite places to walk my dog....Basingstoke canal, which is very near where I live here in Surrey uk.
In this scene, people are enjoying their Sunday stroll along the canal together....either, walking with their dogs, cycling, jogging or feeding the ducks and swans.

In the foreground, hidden away from public view, a mother swan is looking after her cygnets and the canal boat cat is enjoying a snooze.

I love to tell stories with my paintings and always hope that they evoke fond memories and make the viewer smile.
