Artwork description:

I heard these Canada Geese, flying in formation, before I saw them. They are a large Goose, introduced to Northern Europe and now fairly common. This photograph is in a letterbox format and the yacht, set centrally, is an anchor for the eye

These birds are viewed as a pest by many, particularly in public parks where they are noisy, often become semi-tame and aggressively seek out food.

Seen in flight as a truly wild bird, though, they are an elegant and charming bird and a firm favourite of mine.

Materials used:

Giclee print
