This is a portrait of Hailey Rhode Baldwin.

With famous parents and an almost certain guarantee of an easy life with every advantage- I find it absolutely fascinating that this portrait of her (which is based upon a photograph taken by Gilles Bensimon) shows a remarkably fragile, vulnerable soul. I couldn't resist drawing her. Her eyes are guarded, expecting that you will look at her with easy desire and see nothing else. If only you could see the woman inside, she wishes. Her secret thoughts, fears, desires.. she wants you to see beyond the famous parents and the good genes to the woman she is becoming, separate and apart from the circumstances of her birth.
