Original artwork description:

Two rows of coloured rectangular tubes out of carboard are hanged from a thin cotton line. Each row consists of 14 tubes made out of black and white carboard. The tubes can rotate with the slightest air currents, making the artwork responsive to any movement in space. Thus, the work ‘socializes’ with the presence of people in the room, while it can stay totally still when no life exists around.
As the tubes rotate slightly, different 'combinations' of barcodes are revealed, alluding to the present mass consumption of goods and potentially love.

The work is made of a durable plywood frame that is open from the sides to allow for air circulation and better excitation of the tubes inside. The tubes are made of carboard so that overall the work remains very light and super easy to hang on the wall.

I would be happy to answer any of your questions!
