This collection of paintings features highly textured beach or sea scenes. Unusual mixed media has been used to create drama, a wow factor and a powerful statement. These paintings are painstakingly created using many layers of materials to produce the framework for which the colour washes are applied. The end result is a truly unique piece of art.
This piece showcases textured dunes in the foreground with the calming, hypnotic effect of the sea. Gloss resin has been applied over the sea to give the appearance of water. An angry sky looms in the distance promising a dramatic storm.
