Original artwork description:

Originally painted from a live model in a studio setting over a series of Autumn afternoons in New Hampshire, this painting eventually took on a life of it's own. She was a great model and a joy to paint.
I think that the peaceful and meditative mood of the afternoon sittings naturally made it's way into the brushstrokes and invoked the whole painting with a serene feel. The dress and bracelets were made several weeks later with hand dyed tissue paper, gold foil and deep blues and reds. This painting measures 30"x40" and is on a heavy duty stretched canvas.
