Original artwork description:

This is oil painting on high quality linen and custom made canvas. The style is defined by sculptural use of paint. It is 3-D, built-up mixture of many layers of thick gesso, paint, sand and other materials.
I'm inspired by the structure of Jupiter's Moons. This one was inspired by the surface of the satellite called Callirrhoe. It is one of Jupiter's outer natural satellites. It is an irregular moon that orbits in a retrograde direction. It was discovered to be in orbit around Jupiter by Tim Spahr on July 18, 2000. It was the 17th confirmed moon of Jupiter. It belongs to the Pasiphae group. It was named in October 2002 after Callirrhoe, daughter of the river god Achelous, one of Zeus' (Jupiter's) many conquests.
Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage. The colors may look a little bit different depending on the screen. This artwork is signed and dated on the back. A signed Certificate Of Authenticity will be included with the artwork. Edges are painted so it doesn't require any frame.
Size: 120 H 100 W x 2 cm 47.2" x 35.9" x 0.8"
