Original artwork description:

This drawing layers a journey walked around Malaga and its surroundings. The image records varous views seen whilst walking around the surburbs of Malaga and El Palo. Each image was drawn and layered on top of one another representing the way in which our minds layer memories of a journey or event, leaving us to draw out the relevant images to form the image of the journey we remember, of which sometimes we mis-remember a journey and pull images that are similar to the actual journey experienced.

This drawing is part of a series of drawing and sketches created in the exploration of the area of Malaga for murals created as part of the Flow and Art project at Malaca Instituto.

Materials used:

Drawing Ink and Watercolour on Carson Paper and Watercolour Paper.
