The splendid white walls of this beautiful Italianate monastery, home to Cistercian monks on the beautiful Holy Island of Caldey, off Tenby, in Pembrokeshire, Wales, are bathed in summer sun as one looks across from near the Caldey shops. The red tiles of the abbey, and also of the Caldey post office, are prominent and in warm contrast to the cool white walls and baby blue sky.
