Original artwork description:

Breaking away from food as a subject for the moment but keeping my graphic art style, my latest painting is of a cactus set against a zig-zag pastel coloured background.

I've always loved cactus plants and succulents but over the last few years in particular I feel like I've seen more and more shops in London stocking cacti. They seem to be enjoying a resurgence in popularity because of their easiness to care-for and their suitability for living in flats. So I wanted to try to paint a few in my usual style, eschewing realism in favour of bold pop art and graphic styles.

One of the photos shows 'cactus corner' in my own London flat.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pen on canvas.
Size -
12 x 9 inches
30.5 x 23 cm
Roughly 1.5 cm thick

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, and Patrick Caulfield, but also by modern graphic designers.

Postage will be tracked first class in a cardboard envelope.

Materials used:

Acrylic Paint, Paintbrush, Posca Paint Pen
