Original artwork description:

This artwork features a relief like, rough and rugged surface, based on materials like mable powder. The cactus motiv somehow emerged from it when working the surface with colour.
The flowes are collage elements that came on to as a finish, once I decided to see the shape as a cactus.
---
I work with high quality artistic materials - usually acrylic colours, ink and sometimes oil, applying them in many layers. In addition, sometimes I add experimental materials like wood stain, ashes, sand or other finds of nature. My work is inspired by colours and forms evolving form the process of layering – adding and combining colours on wet and dry substrate. The process is emergent – free flow and deterministic aspects are brought together in a creative manner. I kindly invite the viewer to regard the artwork on the one hand as an entire unit, in its composition and overall expression, but on the other hand also to watch out for all the tiny details and fascinating aspects involving the eye of the beholder again and again!
The painting is signed on the backside. A signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the artwork.
