Original artwork description:

By the Stour meadow, Dorset
A peaceful landscape to walk,
Pink blush sky,
The trees are tinged with many colours,
Maroon, dusky pink, olive green and damson,
Grass hoppers are still chirping in amongst the yellow daisies, grasses.

Words and thoughts of a beautiful place in the Blackmore vale in late September.i
A special local place to walk in nature and lots of small woodlands with many uplifting meadows.
Original impressionist watercolour on textured cold pressed bockingford 300 gsm 160lb.
I used a flat Chinese hake for the back washes wet on wet technique and then applied with my sable hair brush in a anti clockwise motion to create the trees and repeated with different colours while the paper is wet. When the paper started to dry I then dabbed, pressed and etched the paint for the detail of the wild flora, grasses in the foreground.

Materials used:

Textured cold pressed watercolour paper bockingford 300gsm 160lb, sable hair brush, filbert, Chinese hake,
