Yorkshire has some charming coastal towns and Robin Hood's Bay is one of them. We enjoyed exploring there on holiday one year, and I was able to take a reference photograph of this view from a conveniently positioned rock on the beach. I thought it was such an interesting scene that I decided to paint it.
