Oil on linen 52x60x2cm (20.5x23.5x0.8in) framed 62x70x3.5cm (24.5x27.5x1.5in) 2019
By the sea is a painting I worked on since I took a photo shoot for a different artwork and realized that one of the pictures was perfect for a smaller and more intimate work. This is the result of my work on that picture. The girl, Sofia, is working hard to build a tower made of bricks and her expression is concentrate and amused. The contrast between the colour of the table and the background reminds an imaginary playground on the beach. "By the sea", as the writing on Sofia's T-shirt suggests.
The painting is an oil on linen, mounted on a wooden canvas and framed in a white, wooden frame which gives to it an elegant but still modern touch.
