Buttes in the Fog is a painting of Bullion and Teepee buttes in south western North Dakota. It is a perfect fall morning. Fog is heavy, yet the sun is breaking through. The landscape is rugged. Badlands they call it. But it is deep within these lands that I found my soul again. It had been locked inside somewhere. That creative spirit that we all have as a child had been broken. Crushed and hidden away for many years. In this landscape, I found me again. I learned to love me again. And in return, my soul started singing again. My song is within each painting. Within each brushstroke.
