“Buttermere Drawing 4” is an ink drawing on 300gms canvas paper. It is 30cms wide and 20cms in height. It is presented/shipped in a cream card window mount (see pictures) 30x40cms at a cost of £80, not including postage. The mounted painting is shipped in a reinforced card wallet.
‘Buttermere Drawing 4‘is part of a series of drawings originally made on location in Cumbria U.K. in September 2018. The view is from the lakeside over the fields towards Crummock Water. This particular drawing was made in January 2019 from the initial sketches made in September 2018. In keeping with the initial on location sketches this ink study was made in a timed period of 10 minutes with the intention of retaining the immediacy of gestural mark making. The drawing will be used to inform a series of colour studies and paintings.
