Painted from Buttermere in the English Lake District, looking towards Fleetwith Pike and the Haystacks. I think Turner painted the very same view. It's 30x24'', oil on canvas and painted on the spot.
To save on commission (you don't want to pay commission on the frame) and postage, I'll selling it unframed. It's painted round the edge and D-rings and string are attached so it looks fine as it is, and it is ready to hang. It will, however, look even better in a good frame. It's a standard size so you should be able to buy a ready-made frame quite cheaply.
