This is a beautiful piece, that looks wonderful in all lights and positions. The butterflies are all painted in an iridescent watercolour on professional grade watercolour paper - shimmering shades of pink, peach and lemon, blue and green. I created two watercolour paintings and carefully selected the cut butterflies for this piece to create a circle of butterflies that graduate from densely clustered to flying free.

You can look at this piece from any angle and see new shades and shadows. The box frame allows butterflies to be carefully layered, and for their raised wings to create movement.

It is finished off with an acrylic white box frame with glass front.

Every butterfly is painted cut, folded and glued with precision.
