Artwork description:

This print include Chine Colle. The Moon is made by applying a fine gold tissue paper.

I applied a thin coat of glue to the tissue paper and placed it glue side up on to the printing plate. I then placed the printing paper on top and rolled it through the press. The moon is then pressed onto the image.

As printmaking is a handmade process there will be slight variations in the prints.

A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. The printing plate is made from mount board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief.
