Beautiful Butterfly Beach in the chic and laid-back village of Montecito is a popular beach with Santa Barbara area locals and visitors. There are several versions of why it is so named. Some claim that it is because a bike path bordered by flowers attracts a wide variety of butterflies occasionally. It may also be because the beach itself is in the shape of a butterfly. Either way, it is very beautiful!

Materials: Oil on Oil Primed rough grain natural linen canvas. Linen is not pumiced, for a unique, nubby, non-uniform finish. Solid pine stretcher bars 3/4"D x 2.17"W. Canvas is first stretched and back-stapled, then primed for a drum-tight surface. Oil primed surface is specifically designed to provide beautiful results with oil paints.
Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.

The painting is not framed, wired in the back on the stretcher bars, and is ready to hang.
