Original artwork description:

This painting started as a sketch idea. The idea started with human figures, and then the notion developed that these could be ancient statues in a desert or alien landscape. I started to work on the painting and then they seemed to suggest ancient gods - who have passed their sell-by date. I was then reminded of a quote by Sylvia Plath - " I talk to God, but the sky is empty "

Acrylic on ready to hang box canvas.

Materials used:

acrylic paint
