Original artwork description:

A drawing in black and white, depicting a man on fire. The drawing first completed on PastelMat paper, and then burned. It is set on a supporting paper and framed with aluminium and glass.

A video showing the creation of this piece is available on my social media account.

The drawing was created using a range of black and white pastels, on PastelMat paper. I choose to draw in grey-tone to emphasise the values, creating dramatic lighting and a deep atmosphere. The resulting image is realistic, yet expressive.

Materials used:

Pastels
